Pride of Workmanship launched for 2019

The Rotary Club of Mudgee Sunrise is asking all local employers to nominate one or more of their employees to receive a Pride of Workmanship Award.
This is a very worthwhile Rotary initiative and gives an opportunity to publicly acknowledge your employee for a job well done.  All nominees will receive a framed citation containing your comments regarding your employee.  These will be presented at a small awards ceremony to be held at 5.30 pm on Thursday, 31st October, 2019, in The Burrundulla Room, Mudgee Golf Club, Robertson Street, Mudgee.

The Pride of Workmanship Program is a Rotary vocational service project, which has been an ongoing program in Australia since 1975.  It enables employers in our society to help employees achieve the goal of job satisfaction, and publicly recognise them for their efforts.  Participating businesses promote the Pride of Workmanship theme of “Do it once – do it well” throughout their organisation and nominate employees worthy of recognition, not only within the organisation, but the wider community.  Nominees of the Pride of Workmanship Program are presented with a certificate in recognition of their achievements.
The objectives of the program are:
  • To promote Vocational Service.
  • To encourage Pride of Workmanship in all vocations.
  • To provide employers with an opportunity to recognise employees who display the qualities worthy of an award.
  • To encourage favourable employer/employee relationships and a sense of community pride in individual achievement.
  • To provide an opportunity for Rotary to be involved in the community, particularly the business community.
This is an invitation from the Rotary Club of Mudgee Sunrise to all local employers to participate in Rotary’s Pride of Workmanship awards.  Rotary believes Pride of Workmanship – the sense of responsibility to do a job well, to strive for excellence of service and to give of oneself to a chosen vocation – is one of the greatest intangible resources yet to be recognised in our working community.
As part of our campaign to encourage the Pride of Workmanship theme, the Rotary Club of Mudgee Sunrise would like, through employers, to give recognition to employees, either as individuals or as a team or department, who have embraced the fundamental principle of Pride of Workmanship “Do it once – do it well”.
To nominate an employee for Pride of Workmanship, please click on the Pride of Workmanship shield and return the completed form either by email or by mail (the addresses are on the nomination form).
